Feel free to display your purchased art in any way you see fit. Most of Apollo’s works (sized 8”x10“ and smaller) come mounted(optional) on a hand-made black lacquered beveled wooden panel, however many of our clients enjoy collecting the pieces they love and displaying them grouped together. For this type of display, Apollo Staar Fine Art creates custom hand-made wooden panels of any size to display your collection. Please feel free to inquire about this type of display.

All original fine art orders come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, care instructions, and a pair of white gloves for handling and hanging your piece.

The panel collection(“Curate-It-Yourself”) can be displayed as just a single panel, but was intended for clients to choose other pieces they like and display them next to each other as a group, creating a larger cohesive body of work. The above photos are a few samples of the concept.

Apollo Staar uses fine art acrylic paint exclusively by Nova Color in his painted work. Many of his colours are custom mixed using these paints to achieve the proper gradient.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS(FAQ):

1. Are you the same APOLLO STAAR that I used to see on flyers and at clubs DJing all over Hollywood in the late 90s and 2000s?
-Yes, that’s me, the same Apollo Staar. Back then I was painting a bit but mostly doing photography at my Hollywood studio & gallery(known as Ultrastar Studio) on Santa Monica Blvd(at Cole st.), but also had an insane nightlife schedule as a nightclub photographer, plus doing VIP/Guest List relations, and as a rock ’n’ roll DJ 5 nights a week for a bunch of Hollywood nightclubs. These included BANG!, Beat It, Club Makeup, Pretty Ugly Club, Shampoo, ‘Seventeen’ at Goldfingers, Burgundy Room, the Viper Room, tons of other spots, and my own crazy monthly theme party called SUPERSTARR at the infamous Martini Lounge(El Centro and Melrose), which is now condos. Seemed like life back then was one big never-ending movie premiere.

2. Do you always only wear black and white striped clothing?
-Yup, I do. I guess you could say those are my signature colours. I choose to wear only black & white so I don’t compete with any colour. It also symbolizes the duality of life, the Yin and the Yang one could say; there’s two sides to everything, they’re opposite but interconnected, mutually perpetuating forces. Plus an homage to jailbirds everywhere.
