EARLY WORK c. 2010-2011
These punk portraits celebrate a volcanic time in history that was forged from political oppression in both the UK and US. PuNk music liberated everyone who ever felt they didn’t belong, felt marginalized, or hated the establishment. It was a voice and outlet for cultural misfits, the depressed, and the disenfranchised.
These paintings are from the one-man-show PRETTY VACANT, which took place at the Burgundy Room Gallery, Hollywood, CA. April 2011.
